Haven’t we been hearing how drinking more water helps with weight loss? Scientists have now done official studies on this, and it is TRUE! Nothing is simpler to do that drink water. The study involved having people drinking 2 glasses of water before they sat down to eat. This makes your stomach feel more full, and eat a little less, 75-90 calories worth of food.

This doesn’t work with diet drinks, which trick your mind into wanting to consume more sweets!

See this segment on The Today Show: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/26184891/vp/38829351#38829351

Is there such a thing as a fast food diet? If you believe the ad from Taco Bell, their new Fresco menu items are healthier and can help you lose weight while eating their food. However, right in the ad, the woman says something like, “This diet doesn’t work for most people, but it worked for me.” Right in plain English, we are told in the commercial that this isn’t going to work for everyone! But will everyone hear that sentence? I think many of us would like to be able to eat fast food and diet at the same time, so since we want to hear we could lose weight on the Taco Bell Fresco menu, we miss that disclaimer. But don’t buy their talk. Some of the choices you think are healthy and low calorie are jam-packed with sodium, so they are not healthy choices.

Did you make a resolution to lose weight? In order to fulfill your resolution, you need to figure out the ONE thing that will make you stick to a diet, or the right diet to keep you on track to lose some weight. The most important thing is deciding that losing weight is not going to happen overnight, it takes a long time to lose weight. In our instant gratification society, where we don’t have to wait for anything, this is the one thing we have to wait for.

So resolve to lose weight and resolve to understand that it is a long process.
