To tame the belly, manage the brain
This is the title of an excellent article in the Boston Globe newspaper today. The end of the article is the most interesting. It talks about how we can trick our minds, or advertisers can trick our minds. If you heat up apple juice and serve it as soup, we perceive it as more filling. If you make potato chips crunchier, we perceive them as crispier. Actually, I don’t understand this concept, I think crunchy and crispy are the same!

Your brain is in control, so do something about it. My sister is reading a book about how we are seduced by food. Apparently we can get over the seduction if we stop eating the foods we are seduced by. For now, she is cutting out sugar and cheese from her diet or something. She has lost 4 pounds without feeling hungry at all.
