I Eat Nothing But Don’t Lose Weight

As we age, we tend to lose muscle mass. How many calories we burn on an average day depends on our muscle mass, the more muscle, the more calories we burn. So to counteract the aging process, we should do weight training at the gym or at home.

Lifting weights is easy to do and only takes a few minutes a day. Head to a store that carries weights, K-Mart, Target, Sports Stores all carry them. You can call first to make sure they are in stock. Weights that wrap around the ankles are great for lower body work, legs, thighs, hips and butt. You can start small and work up to larger weights. Be careful not to use weights that are too heavy because that strains your ligaments and tendons too much. If you are not sure how to get started, buy a weight training video, Amazon carries them, just google for weight training videos and DVDs. If anyone has one that is particularly good, please let us know.
You will see other benefits, such as being able to lift heavier items around the house better, being able to carry more bags from the grocery store into the house. You will feel better in general!
